9 year old boy in Happy Valley is looking for help beginning in mid-September, Monday–Thursday from approximately 3:00–9:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with flexibility in scheduling. He is outgoing, affectionate, easy-going, and happy most of the time. He enjoys music, climbing, playing in water, sensory activities, and being adventurous. He needs support building independence with ADLs, including eating skills, toileting and pull-up changes (including wiping), and mobility, as well as developing communication skills, emotional regulation, and managing self-injurious behaviors such as hitting himself or banging his head against walls. The family is looking for a dependable, experienced DSP who is comfortable and confident working with children who may exhibit challenging behaviors. There is one dog in the home, and the family smokes outside.
