My Discovery Pass is a partnership between Multnomah County Library and other local organizations to offer free educational and cultural experiences to Multnomah County Library cardholders. My Discovery Pass provides online access to free tickets donated by local cultural attractions. Passes are limited by availability.
OMSI Inclusive Access is part of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry’s efforts to ensure a welcoming and accessible experience for all visitors, including people with disabilities and sensory needs.
It offers supports such as wheelchair accessibility, sensory kits, quiet spaces, assistive listening devices, captioning, audio description tools, and free admission for essential support persons. Staff are also available to assist visitors with navigating exhibits and accommodations.

Unified Art Studio is an inclusive community art space in Beaverton where people of all abilities come together to create, connect, and express themselves through art. Operated by the Program for Intellectual Empowerment (PIE), the studio offers affordable instructor-led classes, open studio time, camps, workshops, events, birthday parties, and rentals for neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals. Many activities start at just $5, with free community events offered regularly, making creativity accessible to everyone while fostering confidence, connection, and belonging in a welcoming environment
Resources for getting out into the community
Boundaries & Beyond is an Oregon nonprofit that provides inclusive, trauma-informed relationship and sexual health education for adults with I/DD. Their Medicaid-eligible classes are LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, while remaining open and welcoming to everyone, and focus on healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, abuse prevention, internet safety, and sexual health. They also offer resources and trainings for families, caregivers, DSPs, and providers.

Events include fitness programs, social gatherings, dance clinics, swim and sports activities, family events, and seasonal celebrations designed to build connection, skills, and inclusion. Speech Quest is an 8-week in-person or virtual social communication group for neurodivergent kids, teens, and young adults (approximately ages 7–21) in Portland, OR or via Zoom. Led by a licensed speech-language pathologist and certified therapeutic game master, the program uses tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons to help participants build communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and perspective-taking skills while going on collaborative adventures. Small groups (up to 4 players) ensure individualized support, with sessions designed to be accessible, flexible, and fidget-friendly, and families receive ongoing updates and skill-building strategies at home. The program costs $450 per 8-week campaign (about $50 per session) and includes a 30-minute individual character creation session, with payment plans available.

The Oregon Zoo offers discounted admission for Oregon and Washington individuals and families who qualify for the income assistance programs listed below. If you participate in an eligible program, you may buy up to four tickets at $13 each for you and your immediate family. Please reserve tickets using the link below and bring proof of benefits and residency when you visit the zoo.
The Oaks Park Sensory Skate is a sensory-friendly skating session at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon, designed for children (typically age 10 and under) and their families. The rink is modified to create a calmer environment with lower music, no disco lights, and a quiet sensory break space for those sensitive to noise or stimulation. It takes place during Wednesday preschool skate times and is open to families seeking a more inclusive skating experience.
This recurring event is offered in partnership with disability and autism community organizations to make skating more accessible and welcoming.

The Independent Living Resources (ILR) Recreation Activities program provides opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sports, outdoor recreation, and community-based activities. The program offers a variety of outings and recreational experiences designed to promote physical activity, social connections, independence, and enjoyment of the outdoors. Individuals interested in learning more or participating can contact ILR directly for information about upcoming activities and opportunities.
Special Olympics Oregon (SOOR) is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities across Oregon. Through inclusive sports programs and events, SOOR promotes physical fitness, confidence, teamwork, and social connection while also helping to build greater acceptance and inclusion in the community. Participants can get involved as athletes, coaches, or volunteers, and take part in a wide range of sports and community events throughout the state.
Adaptive Sports Northwest (ASNW) is a nonprofit organization that provides adaptive sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with physical and visual disabilities in Oregon and Southwest Washington. They offer a variety of activities, from recreational programs to competitive sports, helping participants stay active, build confidence, develop independence, and connect with their community. Some programs include Archery, cycling, goalball, pickleball, power soccer, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field and virtual programs to name a few.

Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS) is a nonprofit organization based in Bend, Oregon that provides adaptive outdoor recreation opportunities for children and adults with physical and other disabilities. They offer year-round programs in activities like skiing, snowboarding, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, golf, and other outdoor sports, all supported by trained instructors, volunteers, and adaptive equipment. Their mission is to make outdoor recreation accessible to everyone while helping participants build confidence, independence, and community connection through inclusive sport experiences.
Every Body Athletics (EBA) is a nonprofit organization that provides inclusive fitness and recreation programs for adults (21+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through adaptive group exercise classes, specialty fitness programs, one-on-one training, and social opportunities, EBA helps participants improve their physical health, build friendships, increase confidence, and strengthen their social and emotional well-being in a welcoming and supportive environment. Classes are offered throughout the Portland metro area and online, making fitness and community accessible to people of all abilities
Athletes Without Limits (AWL) is a nonprofit organization based in Oregon that supports athletes with intellectual disabilities by providing access to inclusive training, coaching, and competition opportunities at local, national, and international levels. They help athletes participate in both mainstream and Paralympic-style sports to build fitness, confidence, and independence through sport. In Oregon, AWL connects athletes to programs such as table tennis training at Paddle Palace in Tigard with Coach and Olympian Sean O’Neill, personalized fitness through Specialty Athletic Training in Portland, and inclusive Nordic skiing opportunities in Bend through partnerships with local youth ski programs.
